Hess Lake Fly Fishing

It is a small but very productive lake. Its shores are generally covered with reeds and it is surrounded by a dense Patagonian Andean forest. With crystal clear waters, the lake has a large population of fontinalis, rainbow and brown trout. The "channels" of the lake, surrounded by reeds, give us the opportunity to fish with nymphs and small dry flies. In summer, there is a hatch of dragonflies and damselflies, so fishing with big attractors is very interesting!

Full-Day Trips - For One or Two Anglers

We offer full-day trips only on Hess Lake. It sits deep inside the Manso River basin, so the drive in is longer than on our closer waters and the day is planned around unhurried time on the channels and the reed beds, where the fishing is at its best.
